Lion Rock was formed by the stakeholders’ dedication to the belief that there lies a very strong symbiotic relationship between a church and community. Throughout history, the role of church in community has been that of a place to seek shelter, comfort and security from all that threatens those in that community. Times have changed but the benefits of a church presence are to provide a place for people to help others regardless of their faith – or lack thereof. We see the church as being in a position to be a strong contributor to community once again.
Presently many churches are said to be “two Sundays away from bankruptcy”. Churches have had to increasingly rely on the community as a resource for their own survival and well-being. Our objective is to reinforce the church as a positive influence on communities, transforming properties to enable the church to independently support itself while also generating revenue to help the community that they serve.
With strong profits generated from real estate developments, LionRock will give the churches it partners with the ability to fund their operations and give back to the community as a whole. This means that money donated to the church can actually be used to fund the missions of the church instead of funding its operations.
